With the start of the IPL season, cricket fans would have something more to rejoice than the World Cup win by India. However as a surprise package, Yamaha Motors India Limited have decided to partner the very promising IPL franchise Deccan Chargers. As part of the deal between Yamaha and Deccan Chargers, Yamaha will now use the latter’s images, IPL team logo as also the signature of the team players (maximum 3). All the players would sport Yamaha logos on their caps and helmets. Moreover, Yamaha, for a period of two days would be able to use the players services for advertisements and promotions.
Yamaha is hoping to cash in on the cricket fever and all the more use this event for promoting their fabulous range of bikes in India. Cricket is by far the most loved game in India for which people take leave from their offices and feign health issues. Moreover other bike manufacturers like TVS and Hero Honda are also supporting IPL teams like Pune Warriors and Mumbai Indians respectively. Hospitality entitlements as also ticketing benefits is the other thing which Yamaha India would get as a liability from Deccan Chargers. Moreover the combination of the 2009 IPL winners with the reliable Yamaha brand name would suggest a sure shot winning formula.
