Yamaha BWs, if it really comes to India, will make every other scooter in the country run for its sales. The BWs 125 is an off-road inspired scooter that is present in international market. Currently the India scooter market has seen a growth and there are lot of new models introduced in the 100 and 125 cc segment. Yamaha considers bringing the Yamaha Bws in India. The scooter will not be a budget one but the ride has every thing convincing to pay its price. This will be the first sportiest scooter available on the Indian roads.
Yamaha BWs has a 125cc 4stroke 4 valve engine that makes 8.9 bhp. With that amount of power generation the scooter is expected to do a top speed of 102 kmph on open road. Most of the BWs buyers will be happy as the engine is performance packed and will ensures to keep ahead in traffic.
Ride and Handling
The name BW stands for big wheel. The name really makes sense when you look at the ride; it has beefy off road thread tyres. This kind of tyre and wheel setup helps the ride to pass the pothole holding on tight and through the road that needs serious maintenance. Yamaha BWs in India should be the coolest looking ride and may out run the Honda Activa and others in the scooter league. BWs has promising handling. Braking is adequate as it receives a disc in the front and drum on the rear.
The under seat storage space is enough for a full face helmet, grab rail looks decent and add practicality. The ride shouldn’t be a problem for tall riders. The petrol tank capacity is 6 liters. There are no mobile charging points it doesn’t really matter when you look at ride. The Yamaha BWs in India is expected by June 2011.
Quality and Reliability
The looks of the scooter gives an impression of how rugged it is. The finishing is top with little funky touchups like big headlights, exposed tubular frame, tail light looks shotgun, red seat cover stitching, red brake bitters and clock and motorcycle like handle bar.

Yamaha BWs price in India is expected to settle at Rs 60,000 OTR. The price is heavy for a 125cc scooter. Suzuki Access 125 costs around Rs 51,000 OTR. But both of the scooters cant be compared on any level, the Yamaha BWs is far more better in styling and performance than any other scooter present in India.
