By late afternoon on Sunday, our team at Indiandrives converged at the Big Mall grounds on Ghodbunder Road, Thane to witness the annual vintage auto show organised by the Heritage Vehicle Owner’s Club of Thane. The event was a feast for all auto enthusiasts, showcasing 10 vintage cars and 18 vintage bikes, all from the model years 1923 to 1983.
While the vintage car display was dominated by American and British manufacturers, the vintage bike segment did feature Indian manufacturers albeit a few. There were many scooters on display ranging from the Vespa to many different Lambretta models. Among the motorcycles, the models included the likes of Royal Enfield, the British Matchless, Rajdoot Bobby and some Jawa models.
The vintage auto show at Thane was a blast from the past for our teammates at Indiandrives, who had a wonderful afternoon observing what the old time folks drove around on our streets.
