TVS Motors has a spectacular lineup of two-wheelers in the Indian market and has a new 125 cc motorcycle to join the commuter portfolio.
The company only recently launched the new Apache RTR to lock horns with the Bajaj Pulsar and Yamaha FZ16. In the commuter scooter segment, Wego is doing fair numbers in just over a year from its launch. However, the south-based two-wheeler manufacturer does not draw big volumes when it comes to sales in the entry-level motorcycle segment. In the FY 2011-12, Honda Motors and Scooter India (HMSI) slipped past TVS motors to take the number three spot as India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer.

In an interview with CNBC, the company’s marketing president revealed that the company would launch a 125 cc executive commuter motorcycle somewhere around July-August. We saw a 125 cc motorcycle, dubbed the Radeon 125DX at the 2012 Auto Expo in Delhi. Though there is no official word from the company yet, we believe this is the motorcycle the company official was referring to.
With a small capacity engine, front disc brakes, traditional TVS appeal, it is practical for the company to opt for the Radeon 125DX as its next offer in the commuter motorcycle segment. We will bring you the pricing in details from its launch in July-August.
