MotorCycle News (MCN) has reported of getting a glimpse of some exclusive pictures that shows the new Triumph motorcycle models are being tested. The online blog has caught about 3 Triumph motorcycles on the test run. Two of the models are just upgrades of the existing lineup and the third model is the latest edition in the company’s product portfolio. The new model is the naked bike built on the track of the street trackers or café racers. The new model is based on already present Bonneville bike chassis. The upgrade models are the upgrades of the Thunderbird cruiser bike and Tiger Sport 1050.
The new Bonneville model was caught on the test run clearly shows the use of latest suspension technology and braking systems. The bike is expected to be revealed by 2014 in the International market. The Tiger Sports 1050 also boasts of the new suspension system, swingarm and wheels, the spied images feels more like that the vehicle is on the final testing run just on the verge of its launch. It is expected to arrive in the market by 2013. The Thunderbird Storm also features new forks, wheels and some styling update. The updated model looks more like the Harley’s Fat Bob Model.
With the increasing popularity of the Café Racers, the company is hoping to cash in more on the craze with the Street Tracker type motorcycle. While the Thunderbird is trying to cash in the potential Harley buyers, the Tiger known for the adventure motorcycling will further strengthen their presence in the segment against their rivals with the improved performance. Triumph has already revealed its intention to bring some of its products to Indian market.
