10 years ago, Bajaj Auto Ltd., decided to take advantage of the void that was there in the Indian Motorcycle market for high performance bikes, where only light, small capacity bikes were present, and after much research and development, lasting 36 months, they launched the first edition Bajaj Pulsar. It took the biking world by storm, and from that day the market for motorcycles in the country has only grown tenfold, and the Pulsar is responsible for attracting the youth, a major part of the market, with its sporty looks, high performance engine and affordability.
And now, to mark its 10 year anniversary, Bajaj Auto Ltd. has announced that come December, they will be unveiling an all new edition of the Bajaj Pulsar. Mr Ravi Baja, CEO & MD, Bajaj Auto Ltd. announced some time back that the new edition Pulsar will have no borrowed features form its predecessors, and will be an entirely new bike. The front of the bike may remind one of the previous versions, but other than that, it has been completely designed from scratch. The whole look of the bike, from the head lamps, to the seats, the alloys, to the instruments, every single detail has been designed anew, all to give the new edition Pulsar a sportier, edgier look. A 250cc single cylinder engine is what may power this bike, making it a direct competition for the Honda CBR250R. Set to be marketed as the most powerful machine in the 250cc segment, the technology of the new edition Pulsar is said to push the power output by more than 10%. Component quality has been an area of prime focus for the engineers at Bajaj Auto, as every part, has been designed and developed with much precision and research, with quality being of equal, if not more, importance. The handling and dynamics of the new edition Pulsar will be unmatched as it contains an all new mono-shock unit at the rear, new wheelbase length better front suspension, and brand new geometry for the chassis, a testimony to the work put in by the engineers at Bajaj Auto Ltd. And this added power and stability will be available at an affordable price, as is synonymous with the Baja Pulsars. With the anticipation building up, one will still have to wait, as only a look of the bike will be unveiled in December, they won’t hit the showrooms till next year.
