We had brought you the news of Suzuki Motorcycle India Limited (SMIL), launching the Hayate commuter motorcycle by mid 2012. The commuter motorcycle debuted at the 2012 Auto Expo in Delhi was a significant launch for the Japanese brand, as the previously launched Slingshot did not do fairly well in the Indian market. Coming at a starting price of Rs 40,162, the Suzuki Hayate is now available to the Suzuki fans.

Triumph developing 125 cc motorcycle for India

The British two-wheeler manufacturer, Triumph unveiled its range of performance motorcycles ranging from 675cc to 2,300cc at the 2012 Auto Expo in Delhi. Expect these high performance motorcycles to hit the showroom later this year. We had recently reported that Triumph is mulling over launch of 350 cc motorcycle to take the performance two-wheeler segment in India. There have been recent reports that the British two-wheeler marque has plans to go up against Bajaj Auto and Hero MotoCorp in the volume-driven commuter motorcycle segment.

Honda 2012 CBR250R getting new colors

After showing off its 2012 CBR250R at the Indian Auto Expo earlier this year in New Delhi, the bike has been given new look with cosmetic changes by Honda. The new pearl-heron blue color tone will increase the cost of this sports tourer by Rs.1000 from its base variants which is Rs.1,44,000 (ex-showroom, New Delhi), as well as ofthe ABS model which costs Rs.1,69,000 (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Yamaha to launch Ray scooter by Diwali

Yamaha just doesn’t seem to have had enough being the leading performance bike-maker in India. Now the Japanese giant wants to downshift and take on the scooter segment with its Ray. Previously showcased at the 2012 Auto Expo in Delhi, the Yamaha Ray is a small capacity scooter targeting the mileage crazy customers. This segment is currently dominated by other Japanese automakers with Suzuki being number two, after Honda.
