Bajaj has declared that two of its most important launches will take place by the end of this month. The first is the KTM Duke 200, which will be launched on 24th January and the next one is the next-gen pulsar, which will be unveiled on 30th of this month in Mumbai. This information was given by Mr. Rajiv Bajaj of Bajaj Motors. The Bajaj Pulsar will be in the market for consumers to purchase by March this year. Apart from this, he did not divulge any information on the look and features of the bike. Although Mr. Bajaj did not say whether the bike to be unveiled on 30th Jan is the next-gen Pulsar or not, we can pretty much make out that it was the next-gen Pulsar he was referring to.
The Bajaj Pulsar has been spotted testing in and around Pune of late. But the company is unwilling to part with any info on the bike, just to keep people’s interest in the bike intact and keep the rumor mill buzzing. After it unveils the next-gen Pulsar, Bajaj would send it for homologation with ARAI.
Bajaj has also made it clear that it won’t be hiking the price of its product in the last quarter of FY’12. The company has done quite a brisk business in this financial year and it has been able to maintain its margins with 35 percent of its revenue coming from exports. Analysts believe, that the new-gen Pulsar that Bajaj is about to launch will share some similarities with the KTM Duke 200. But at this point, it is just rumor and nothing is confirmed as yet.
