After a lot of well known motorcycle makers have either launched Indian divisions and established production plants that continuously produce models for both the Asian market as well as the remaining world, here’s Piaggio-possessed Moto Guzzi making the first steps in this track as well.
The Italian high performance bike brand, Moto Guzzi has made entry in the Indian market with its initial showroom at Gurgaon.
The name given to Moto Guzzi’s first dealership is Northwards Motors.
As per reports, this is the second Aprilia showroom in the Indian market as it already has a store in the city of Pune.
Hearsay has it that Moto Guzzi will roll out Griso, Breva, and the V7 in the domestic market, with the Griso pre-sales already going on and projected delivery by early next year.
And to make things precise, a dedicated Moto Guzzi service facility is already on the way, seemingly turning functional by the time the motorcycles begin reaching their new possessors.
The reports also said that the dealership has already begun accepted bookings for Moto Guzzi bikes. At present the Griso 1200 8V is available for booking. The Griso 1200 8V is catered by a 4-stroke, V-twin, 1151cc engine, which generates 110 BHP of power. This engine is paired to a six pace gearcase.
Moto Guzzi is however yet to reveal its bike offering program for India that we anticipate the company will announce by the first half of the coming year.
Moto Guzzi has a few superior bikes in its product stable and we expect Piaggio launches them to the domestic market shortly. 2013 is already looking very hopeful for the biking lovers.
