Mojo was initially displayed towards the end of 2010 by Mahindra 2 Wheelers. However, after seeing the feasibility, the bike maker took the decision of not going ahead with this project. It, instead, went for the launch of its mass market 100cc bike, the Stallio. The Mojo had been kept under wraps for quite a significant period of time, but has made an appearance at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. The bike has not been provided with any changes whatsoever and looks exactly the same as it did when it had been initially revealed.
However, it seems like Mahindra is still not quite ready with this bike at this moment and this has been made amply clear by the manufacturer at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. Mahindra still wants to provide the Mojo with a lot of finesse and is also going to incorporate further changes into it. The manufacturer feels that this is needed so that the Mojo can be considerably equipped to meet the challenges it is going to face in the future.
Some auto experts, however, have a feeling that it would have been in the best interests of the Mojo if Mahindra had launched this bike the very first time that it had been showcased. This would have helped the bike gain the advantage of being the first mover. The fact that it had also been offered with numerous impressive features would have also worked in its favor.
However, a lot of time has passed since the first time the Mojo appeared and India has witnessed a lot of superbly designed bikes being launched in the premium biking segment. Hence, whenever the Mojo comes out finally to the market, it is going to face a very tough time particularly because of the fact that its maker, Mahindra 2 Wheelers does not have any worthy testimonials to prove that it can deliver a strong bike in this premium motorcycle segment. We will keep our readers posted whenever any new information surfaces about the Mojo.
