Mahindra & Mahindra’s two wheeler division recently registered a growth of 147% for May, in Kerala.
The company’s VP of Marketing, Devendra Shinde said that, the high growth experienced by the manufacturer is mostly due to the reason that their brands have received a great acceptance since they were launched in that market.
He also said that the network of the company has seen a lot of growth in the past year, with their channel partners significantly contributing towards building a robust brand in Kerala, adding that they are also carrying out a few innovative brand experiential and brand building activities since the last year, which has now paid dividends.
Currently, the Mahindra Flyte, Duro and Rodeo are available in Kerala in 30 locations across the state. Apart from the authorised dealerships, the company also has 8 service centres from where consumers can service their scooters. Referring to the company’s May month’s national sales, he said that it increased by 36%, a growth of 10,970 models since last year.
The integrated sales of the company reached 2.5 lakh models, whereas the Mahindra Rodeo sold around 1 lakh units. In February, this year, the company saw their cumulative sales increase to 2 lakh units, establishing themselves as am important two wheeler manufacturer in Kerala.
The company managed to achieve this feat in just 16 months since launching their Power Scooter in September, 2009. He said that they managed to achieve this feat in the shortest period of time for a two wheeler manufacturer.
