Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd (MTWL), a division of the US $14.4 billion Mahindra Group, continued striving to mark its presence in the two-wheeler sector, in March 2012.
The company had freshly introduced the Duro DZ scooter that mesmerized the customers all over the country with sales figure staggering over 10,000 vehicle sales in March 2012 alone; which is a rise in sales of about 200 per cent in comparison to the month of February 2012.
“From the analysis of the sales volume, Duro DZ units sold has doubled in March proving that the customers across India have cherished the scooter’s ‘Romba Solid’ worth proposal, making the Duro DZ one of the most appropriate 125 cc scooter for harsh Indian terrains.
In the previous month, we had offered to pay Rs. 500/- to any person who wished `test ride’ the new Mahindra Duro DZ and is still firm on the decision of buying any other brand’s scooter. This is a symbol of the trust we have in the Mahindra product. This distinctive test was launched for the vital metropolis of South India, and it established an awesome feedback with consumers, visibly favoring the Romba Solid Duro DZ over other brands. For the current month we are revamping and expanding this test nationally” said Mr. Viren Popli, Senior Vice President Strategy and Market Development, Mahindra Two-Wheelers.
The company’s growing two-wheeler sales figure from April 2011 to March 2012 is as 1,34,570 scooters sold. Sales in March 2012 alone are 12,750 scooters.
Mahindra two-wheelers is powered by a 125 cc gasoline engine providing the right choice to a variety of customer section. Mahindra has placed the Duro DZ in the family scooter segment, while the Mahindra Rodeo featuring very ground-breaking and modern statement is admired among the younger segments. While the Mahindra Flyte is a two-wheeler designed in prospectus of Indian women.
