As we earlier reported that, Mahindra banged once again into the two wheeler industry with Mahindra Pantero and Centuro. This time it played the entire ace with product. We were just waiting for the prices to be revealed which will determine its position in the segment.
Today, Mahindra launched its Mahindra Pantero in Chennai with a price tag of Rs 44,190/- (ex-showroom) for T4 version. T4 is the basic variant of all as it features kick start, spoke wheels and analog consoles.
This new 106.7cc bike is powered by an MCI-5(Micro Chip Ignited-5 Curve) engine which is made at Pune in-house R&D of the Company. It is compiled with a 4 speed gearbox which produces maximum power of 8.5 bhp @ 7500 RPM. It reaches 0-60 kmph in 8.85 seconds which is very cool for this segment. Apart from some advanced technicalities, it gives a comfortable ride with the longest seat (of the segment), better ergonomics for maneuvering in traffic, average of 79.4 kmpl (as per ARAI) and a whole lot more.
Its top version comes loaded with a digital speedometer, self start and alloy wheels which are the first of its kind in a 100 cc bike.
We also learnt that Mahindra Pantero will launch its most awaited 300 cc Mojo in this year.
