As per latest reports, Hyosung, which has its presence in the Indian market via an affiliation with DSK Motowheels, is making plans to roll out an entry level sports motorcycle, which will get power through a 250cc single cylinder engine.
The report also added that the South Korean two wheeler maker’s new 250cc motorcycle will be scheduled below the GT250R and could be a international bike fulfilling the needs of the growing 250cc section across the world.
DSK-Hyosung possesses a fabrication facility at Wai in the state of Maharastra, which was purchased from Garware Motors, the ex collaborators of Hyosung in the Indian market.
But, DSK-Hyosung has made declaration that the construction of novel assembly facility will begin by March 2013.
The innovative 250cc bike is likely to be brought to the domestic market in the form of CKD kits and assembled at the projected plant.
Particulars of the forthcoming motorcycle which is being set up at the firm’s South Korean research and development center is very limited at the moment.
The Indian 250cc motorcycle section is already active with motorcycles such as the Honda CBR250R, Kawasaki Ninja, and Hyosung’s personal GT250R.
The rivals from the neighboring sections such as the KTM Duke 200, Pulsar 200 NS could also prove to be viable competitors for the forthcoming 250cc motorcycle from the company. Chance of a 250cc motorcycle from Yamaha stable by the coming time cannot be winnowed out either.
