Hero Motocorp has recorded its best ever turnover in the third-quarter of FY’12 (October-December 2011). The company has had a turnover of a whopping Rs.6031.45 crores in this period. The company also recorded its highest sales in this period, which stood at 15,89,286 units.
This is a growth of 16.85 per cent over the same period last financial year. The company has registered a net profit of Rs.613.03 Crores (after tax) and it has recorded a EBIDTA margin of 15.63 per cent.
As has been mentioned earlier, the company has recorded its highest ever sales of 15,89,286 units. It sold more than 5 lakh units in all the three months of this quarter with sales figures for October, November and December standing at 5,12,238, 5,36,772, and 5,40,276 units respectively.
The company officials are quite satisfied with this performance. Dr. Brijmohan Lall, Chairman, Hero Motocorp, have said that they are extremely happy with the performance of the company in this quarter and hopes that this would take them a step forward towards making Hero Motocorp a truly global company.
MD and CEO of the company, Pawan Munjal, has reacted to this development saying that this reinforces his belief in the company’s leadership and they will be able to sale more than 6 million units in FY’12.
The company is now looking to a greener future and has unveiled a part of its vision in this regard at the recently concluded Auto Expo, where it showcased its Leap hybrid scooter. It also outlined its plan for the year by showing off its new generation two-wheelers – 110cc Maestro, 110cc Passion X Pro and the 125cc Ignitor. All these bikes will be launched in the market this year itself.
