Crime rate is increasing per day and to stop this we need better equipped policemen. Patrolling is an important task of the policemen to curb crime in an area. Now, a bike designer, Gabriel Zuzarte has come up with new bikes for Mumbai police. The current bikes will soon be replaced with the high-tech, fully loaded custom bikes. Gabriel got the inspiration from the FBI bikes that are used in America and by the cops in the other developed countries. He said that he always wanted to introduce something like that for the Mumbai police and he had the resources and man power to do that.

He then approached several officers in various departments and experts. After the continuous research and efforts of two years, RTO finally passed his product. He said that this bike will be iconic and he is equipping it with the latest technologies and gadgets. These bikes are ought to help the cops in managing law and order more effectively. The new bike is basically a Royal Enfield Classic 350 but Gabriel has made it a mean machine with all the gadgets like GPS, all-weather laptop, camera etc.

These bikes can also be used as official escort bikes, as they have first aid, gear to fight at the crime scene, tent and even forensic tools. The concept is surely to revolutionize the Patrolling in Mumbai and will also make way for other cities in India.

It was one of the most talked about bikes on the internet. Several fans came up with their own version of the Pulsar 375, believe me net is floating with those pictures. But for now the original Pulsar 375 has been spotted.

Everyone loved old generation of Pulsar but this new one is seriously going to roll over. The new addition to the Pulsar seems to bring in more imagination and power into the Indian bike market taking it to a whole new level.

The new bike seems to look bigger and have inherited few things from the Pulsar 220F. The dual headlamps give it a more muscular and sporty look. The pictures suggest that R&D team of Bajaj has been doing great to come with some exciting piece of art. The vehicle is expected for a possible launch before the end of this year. Though there were other images floating down on internet for quite a long time, but this one has come from one of the reliable sources in automotive world, AutoCar India. The new Pulsar is expected to push the performance to a all new level with its bigger and better tuned engine.

Keeping in mind the habit of Bajaj to price things affordably, the bike is expected to be priced aggressively. More information about the vehicle will be revealed once it is rolled out.

The second largest bike manufacture in India, Bajaj, is gearing up for a busy year ahead. The demand is low and the competition from Honda is continuously being growing up which has led to slip in the market share and even the profit margins.

With an aim to catch up with Honda, Bajaj is taking a confusing move. It is planning to launch as many as 6 new Discover in the current fiscal year. Bajaj Discover is already crowding the segment with over 5 Discovers currently on sale in 40,000 to 50,000 INR range. Compared to the Pulsar, Discover is less glamorous and has been put into the commuter segment, where fuel economy matters far more than performance.

Although the move is quite bizarre but it is possible that Bajaj may be trying to give a makeover to the Discover Brand. Bajaj also announced that four out of the six bikes will be in the 40,000 to 50,000 range and the last two will be placed in the higher segment. The first bike will appear by end of June or by start of May and will be followed by the roll out every six to eight week.

The biking space of India is now inching very closer day by day and even the well renowned bike maker are pouncing for every piece of market share that is available here. It is not due to the flying colors of Indian economy but instead the rapidly increasing number of bike users had kept on compelling great names of industry to make debut here. Just some days before we have reported the 2013 Suzuki Inazuma aka GW 250 raveled the paths of Shanghai Auto Show 2013, which also paves in the expectation of Indian version as well, is now spotted undisguised in Goa, flaring all the curves in best possible mode under the black shade.

Need not to be surprised, the same was also spotted on some of the shooting sets with Suzuki’s Indian brand ambassador and Bollywood superstar ‘Salman Khan’ doing body exposure under the hot scorching sun for a shot, now it is learnt that the same was in Goa for the commercial ad shoot as well, which tips us the launch to happen soon in this year itself. Also ripped off, there is a common trend in Indian fraternity that the particular car/bike model of which the film stars are their brand ambassador, is seen promoted in their movies very shortly after the launch, making impacted market moves, and is seem the case to be the same here as well.

Known from the movies sources, Salman’s new flick is “Mental” which is going to release by the end of this year i.e. December, hence the bike launch can be expected till October or November, tempting a right amount of time for the promotional activities and then the biggest bash will be in the movie itself, slated as if everything tends to fall as per the proper slotted timeline in the blur print’s bay.

Lest, the GW 250 is powered with 248cc, SOHC, twin cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, delivering maximum output of 26Bhp and a peak torque of 24.2Nm, being assimilated to a six speed manual gearbox. It is said to be a dual purpose bike claiming title with the sports/street racing along with touring magnetism at belt.

For here, if launched then this bike would change the scenario of Indian industry, with a lot of heat stroked towards Royal Enfield, as the image of Salman Khan is of a very macho man and also the touring qualities will give aspiring RE enthusiast the reason to shift from the Indian to this Japanese brand. Even the CBR250R, KTM 200, Pulsar 375 and some more in the segment will face competition if the makers would price it competitively in horizon.

Bajaj auto, India’s second largest motorcycle maker is quite numb with the downfall in the domestic markets as Japanese bike makers are going uphill with the demands in the world’s second largest motorcycle market.

Japan’s Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd. and Honda Motor Co. have been going quite high on their global brand name and sporty offerings to become one of the dominant players in a market where motorcycle accounts for a large percentage of the passenger vehicles sales.

Honda saw a growth of about 30 percent in the fiscal year 2012-13 that ended on March. The Indian bike makers, Hero witnessed 2 percent fall and Bajaj saw a decline of 4 percent. Bajaj revealed that the quarterly profit for the company was 7.66 billion rupee which is little less from the same period last year. Managing Director, Rajiv Bajaj told that nothing is expected to change in the short term and there is currently no growth in the market.

Hero MotoCorp that split from the Honda in 2011 saw a straight third quarterly decline in the profit. Honda has currently become the no. 2 player in the global market by selling scooters, sales network and entry level bikes. Bajaj is currently not making or selling any scooter.

The competitions against the foreign bike makers are quite tough and to remain in the market, most of the Indian bike makers need to bring in new high tech products at regular interval of time.

The sale of motorcycles in India has declined. This can be mainly attributed to the rise in the petrol prices and slow sluggish economy. But there is some good news for the industry analysts are expecting a growth of about 6 to 8 percent this fiscal year.

Analysts are in a view that Bajaj will be in much more profit that the Hero MotoCorp, mainly because of its tie with the Kawasaki Heavy Industries and further it also owns 47 percent stake in the Austrian bike company KTM AG. On the other hand Hero has also invested lot of bucks on the design and technology divisions.

Shares for Bajaj have fallen about 15 percent this year and shares of Hero MotoCorp have come down a little near to 10 percent.

‘Indian Chief soon going to make debut on Indian shores’, this may sound confusing to many of us; hence we decided to clear the clutter with ease without putting a lot of strain on one’s brain. This piece of news is about the famous Indian bike maker who is famous for the heavy metal cruisers and such, as learnt, is soon going to make debut on our Indian shore with its refreshed model plate “Chief” that it had already teased a couple of time on the official website.

Though this news is not taken from any of the rumor mill but we have a proof of same to provide a strong support for the bespoken claims. The image that we have posted on this blog is basically a screen shot of bike maker’s official website, commenting, “India – coming soon” with the back drop of Chief’s teaser image.

Well, we should not take this thing by surprise because, it happened to be “Indian” by the name, but journey remains incomplete unless and until the particular moniker makes landing on actual Indian shores, after all our country is also a leading name in the two-wheelers world, which had tasted blood of famous brands like Harley, BMW, Ducati, KTM, Aprilia, and many more.

Not much to say on this one, but we caption, Harley Davidson to be careful!

Just peeping in, the Chief is expected to be done with the Thunder Stroke 111 engine, which is still found dangling on the shaky grounds of displacement, no clear cut information till date, but we expect the bike maker to soon lose some of the strings for now so that we all can heave a sigh of relief.

Claimed the title of world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp has now forayed in the market of Central America, specifically in the Guatemala City, El Salvador and Honduras, making an international penetrations for the first time ever after many years vying to settle in the new regions. As learnt, Hero had partnered with Indy Motos Group of Guatemala to distribute their product in the territory and as said they only are the official dealers for this Indian bike brand there.
Commenting on the glitterati, Mr. Pawan Munjal, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Hero MotoCorp Ltd said, “It is indicative of the significant role that markets in Central America and Latin America will play in our global expansion plans.

Kawasaki Ninja made debut on Indian shore by 2009 and since then it hadn’t stopped all the way to make lead in this country for which it is vying to be a leading name in the biking industry of one of the world’s largest two wheeler market. Bajaj is the official name who landed this brand on our Indian shores, and hopefully lest of the competition had just followed footsteps of this bike maker to dare the pricing challenge with the bigger cubic centimeters. Enough of the past, going since a long back with the same looks, Ninja 250 was in the tremendous of a facelift which the Japanese had thought a step ahead to give it a shot for of advancement technical refinement as well rather than just a new cosmetic affair. Taking first the cosmetic affair, Ninja 300 is worked out with completely with new aura of boldness, the newly sculpted fuel tank, slotted faring with aerodynamics, instrument cluster, stylish 10 spoke alloys, exhaust note with more crisps and refinements, a wider rear rim to beef up the oomph factor of such Japanese beauty, 300 badges at various spots for clear definition, and overall the skin crafted with pretty more sleek and stunning looks, draped beautifully around the body. Well, if asked to answer just in one word what the Ninja 300 is, then it would be termed as the trimmed version of elder sibling ‘ZX-10R’. Without even skipping a beat one can easily conclude on seeing the newbie that Ninja had gone for a facelift and the outcome is as fresh as today’s newspaper.

Taking technicalities, first of all, the engine displacement is enhanced by an additional 47cc taking the final notches to 296cc, which means a longer stroke as well, but the new things that Kawasaki had deployed are new crankshaft, new air intake, brand new pistons and fresh connecting rods as well. These refinements adds efficiency and the also help to reduce weight, whilst of the better responsiveness as well. There is good news for the Ninja lovers, now they can use the lower grade fuel as well, because the engineers at R&D had tweaked engine so that it can work on lower compression for providing better riding experience and such. Stating numbers, we came to know torque is beefed up to 2.8kgm being in a peek state at 10000rpm, whilst of the maximum 38.5bhp at same 11000rpm level of the 250 version. Not throwing much of the numbers at you, we just hop on the seats and twisted the throttle. Well, to our experience it boosted from the bat running like that to save life directly from the gate of hell. Even at 13000 RPM this Green shark hadn’t reverted us any of the negative feedbacks. It was just asking for more and more and we finally got tired of twisting our wrists but though it hadn’t, and we really mean it! Slipper clutch escorted us in buttery shifts on downshifts, means one has not to worry about the rear wheel lock while moving from one gear to another. Gear is given down in the pattern of 1-down 5-up, total 6, and must say that the gearbox is also one of the refined strata on this bike that makes to grab all yours attention towards itself. Gear ratios are suitable for every kind of ride you throw at it. Just recollected while talking about for any type of ride, seating is made comfortable, triggered in the upright direction with a bit of sporty leaning that’s understood, hopefully one can now think of a long cruise on this Ninja, unlikely on the previous generation it was mean to be difficult to ride sometime from town to suburbs of Mumbai.

It may happens, some of the viewers may not be satisfied with our claims and all those postures, let’s tell you the speeding figures, and we think that may definitely spring out your adrenaline junkie from inside. The 0-100 kmph sprint is covered in a lesser time than the previous edition and new top whack of 162 kmph genuinely slats 152 kmph figures of 250cc displacement.

We had already tagged this Green bird suitable for the long distances but, as a said the previous bug wasn’t specific for to get a stroll on the street for a cigarette puff with friends at corners, as it was all needed a full attire and mind work as well to suit that all the sporty flick on it, and now it’s time to reveal how the 300 is going to fare on the street/city ride. Surprisingly, we are gleamed when entered the town and hopefully in the suburb it just ate up all clichés very easily. No complaints at all. Even get to the braking mechanism, it is now a bit lighter than our last Ninja’s experience, which may disappoint many of the riders but that jerky braking of 250 had reminded us of Bajaj’s Pulsar type mechanism. Though we think the ABS would have added a lot of benefits to this new entrant, but as learnt from the makers, it was revealed, the option of ABS could added more Rs. 30,000 to the whole package of Rs. 3.5 lakh (ex showroom Delhi). And sometimes, as seen, pricing is dependent on the customers; if the Ninja 300 will receive a good response from the avid buyers then the makers will deploy a one on it in the optional list.

Conclusion:

We have ridden this newbie on highways, curves, and city as well. Everything is proven worth the price tag; needless to say quality is also bright in terms of the amount for money asked, and with the rigid steel worked out diamond frame with assimilation of correct torque and horsepower cornering became as easy as the child’s play. Entering and exit of curves is now swifter than before. While in city ride, 172 kg of weight proves boon to the overall package, nice to cut dribbles around and frequent stopping is a bit less tensed equation on it. Some may also feel the pain in back for the town rides, but hopefully the re-tuned suspension at rear helps a lot to reduce some (actually many) of them. Exclusively, final words was a bit worrying to us because the KTM 390 launch is slated just nearby and moreover it is expected to give in the near to 400cc for just at the half price of Ninja 300. Speaking frankly, looks of KTM hadn’t appealed to large amount of customers, as it is new and all, what is the reason behind is still not known, but however the Austrians known how the pump in the excitement underneath a two-wheeled to get the maximum equations out of same. Moreover, the orange lightning may tend to be a bit unprofessional name to many pro-riders, but contradicting to the previous claims it is expected masses will definitely fall prey to the 390. And added to the spoilsport again, Pulsar 375 is also in the pipeline, launch position next to the KTM itself, really can’t predict who is going to fare better in the race but here at this point Ninja 300 had delighted us all the way and no turning back when got this one parked downside in garages. This quarter litre is just more than enough to unleash adrenaline rush from one’s soul.

Hero MotoCorp is the leading bike maker of India and it seems going to take on the whole world in its stride due to the increasing sales day by day, and also receiving heavy demands from various international markets.

Being a cost effective in the brand image, Hero hadn’t shied from entering markets like Bangladesh and Columbia (Latin America) which had given him the sales of 2 lakh and 6 lakh units respectively. Seeing this much of responses in outside the home, Hero is chalking out to enter those bespoken dual markets, and apart from that, Africa, Latin America and other ASEAN countries meant to be planted on the next target list.

Back to the pavilion again, Hero already had partners in Columbia and Bangladesh which now are helping the bike maker to sell its product following CKD route, and also to be taken into consideration for setting up (Hero’s) own manufacturing facility there by end of this financial year, whereas Kenya and Nigeria are specified for next step in African territory, as confirmed an industry insider.

Also affirming our thoughts, a spokesperson from Hero MotoCorp said, “We do have plans to set up assembly units in our international markets, wherever it makes sound commercial logic. We already have CKD assembly operations in Bangladesh and Colombia, through distributors. We may also look at other markets to set up similar assembly operations.”

There is a lot of potential in these markets. For exports, freight costs are added to product prices and without local bases, it would eventually become difficult for companies to remain competitive, in terms of product pricing, added Abdul Majeed, partner and leader (automotive practice), PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Overall, Hero is also eyeing the shares of US market as well, by calling in to setup of a whole new company there to reach in deep in the veins of Americans, confirmed Ravi Sud, chief financial officer, Hero MotoCorp, whilst of another 30 more countries marked for splurging the business in by next two to three years, through the means of solo investments, joint venture alliances and strategic partnerships.

Off lately, Hero MotoCorp had already shipped first consignment to Peru, Latin America, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras in Central America, whilst of Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast in Africa. The Indian bike maker will sell its products in these markets via local distributors and channel partners, which have been already appointed, and as expected retail sales are likely to commence from this quarter.
