DSK group has recently brought the entire stakes of the Hyosung Motorcycles from the Garware Motors and is setting up its new manufacturing plant at the Lonand village near Pune. The new facility will be stationed at about 77 Km from Pune and will be built on a 110 acres of land. DSK has planned to invest a huge sum of Rs.300crores on the Hyosung Brand in India and the new facility at Pune is a part of its investment strategy. Plant is expected to start functioning by 2013 and initially will be having a capacity of about 15 to 18 bikes per day, which will be increased depending upon the demand.
Hyosung Dealerships in India by 2013
The land acquisition for the proposed plant is on its way and the will be completed in about 3 months and soon the construction will follow. Apart from the new manufacturing plant, DSK is also planning to setup about 30 new Hyosung Dealerships all across India by December this year. By January next year, DSK is ought to bring Hyosung GV650 in Indian market. GV650S will follow up in March 2013. In another plan, the GT250’s twin-cylinder engine will be replacing the local build single cylinder engine by 2015.
