Venturing into the international market had become an ongoing trend for Indian bike makers. Last week we reported about the Hero MotoCorp to lay down its foundation stone in Columbia, now the Royal Enfield is reported to be seen adding its official distributor in the same country. Corbeta Group is announced as RE’s exclusive distributor for Columbia. Royal Enfield Sold A Whopping 25k Motorcycles In June 2014

June was meant to be the month of heavy sales for the automakers, but it could be such delighting – the Royal Enfield didn’t thought of. Confirming the sales numbers, the world’s oldest surviving motorcycle brand said it sold total of 25,303 units including domestic sales and exports. In contrast to the last years’ numbers, they were 13,806 units in June 2013. On the basis of calculation, the company recorded a growth of 83 per cent between these. Specifically, the domestic sales in June 2014 were at 24,519 units as compared to 13,315 units in the same month last year, registering a growth of 84 per cent. Royal Enfield Flagged Off 11th Himalayan Odyssey (2014) From India Gate

The Royal Enfield’s most awaited Himalayan Odyssey is flagged off last week from India Gate in Delhi. The event was the 11th edition of the Royal Enfield Himalayan Odyssey, which will continue over the next 17 days since it’s flagged off. The journey is tempted with 72 riders who will cover a distance of 2,700 kilometres crossing three mountain ranges and six passes, including one of world’s highest motorable road – Khardung La, at a peak of 18,380 feet. As the trip is mostly based on the routes in Himalaya, it is entitled to give the passionate RE buffs a scenic pleasure at every turn.
