The German luxury auto manufacturer BMWs, two wheeler division recently announced about the production of their two millionth bike off their assembly in Berlin Spandau. The ceremony was but naturally celebrated with huge fanfare, with the ceremony seeing the Berlin Mayor attending, along with BMW Motorrad workers across their company among others.
Chris Pfeiffer, the four times European and World stunt champion, also a street bike freestyler, was made an appearance, showing his moves to mark the event. The company’s two millionth bike is question was a special edition one-off R 1200 GS, which was unveiled by the stunt champ. The bike will be part of a raffle win in a tourist ‘be Berlin’ movement for promoting the city.
During the event, Pfeiffer rode his F 800 R stunt motorcycle delivering an awesome performance to members of their Berlin plant along with other invited guests. He concluded his performance by burning out the figure 2,000,000 with his bike’s rear tire on tarmac.
Chris Pfeiffer said that he was very proud to be able to present BMWs two millionth bike. In spite of having a busy schedule, he wanted to make it to the event, as it was a unique event.
Hendrik von Kueheim, the head of BMW’s bike division, Motorrad, said that their bikes fulfill a pure riding pleasure in their most original form. These bikes are the ambassadors of their brand as well as of Berlin to the whole world. Their motorcycles which are exported feature the air of Berlin in them, and that their long relationship with the city will only continue.
