Bajaj Pulsar 200NS reaches showroom

Indian motorcycle market has taken a giant leap with the introduction of high performance motorcycles like the CBR 250R, KTM Duke 200 and now, the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 200NS. Though the Indian motorcycle manufacturer has some powerful machines in the top-end segment, the introduction of 200NS signifies its entry into the raw performance motorcycle segment.

There has been the news of the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS getting an official launch in April, a date that came and went, but there is still no word from Bajaj Auto. Gladly, the images shown  are snaps of the Pulsar 200NS taken from a dealership in Delhi. And it does not take an Einstein to deduce that an official launch maybe just around the corner.

Bajaj Pulsar 200NS reaches showroom

From the snapshots, we can translate the motorcycle is a display version for the dealership. The side panels feature body color, contrary to the matte black finish seen on the pre-production model. Moreover, the triple-spark sticker on the engine cover that made the motorcycle look sporty is missing in the production version. There was news of Bajaj launching a motorcycle by mid May, and that possibly was the new Discover. As the buying ability of Indian customer increases, Bajaj may be re-evaluating the position of the new Bajaj Pulsar 200NS. However, the Indian two-wheeler giant had previously confirmed a sub-Rs 1lakh performance motorcycle for India.

There is a lot at stake with the Pulsar series creating a crackle in the motorcycle industry over the past decade. With the same brutal power and shallow price tag, the new 200NS is certain to impress the Pulsar enthusiast. As a Bajaj tradition the 200NS (naked sport), may have a 200FF (full fairing) version following soon. But lets not get ahead of ourselves.
