Indian scooter market in on the boom, but it is quite interesting to note that country’s 2nd largest two-wheeler manufacturer and legendry scooter maker Bajaj has yet not revealed even a single scooter. Bajaj started its two-wheeler business with the scooter and its Chetak and Priya were some of the most successful scooters till date. However, Bajaj tried its hand in scooter market with Wave and Kristal but failed. Now there are reports that suggest that Bajaj may be bringing its new 125cc scooter in the market. Probably it will be the Bajaj Blade 125cc unisex solution from the company.
Nothing has been revealed officially but the scooter image has been posted at many online automotive portals. The images shows that the blade will be equipped with front telescopic shock abrorbers, 12 inches wheels, front fuel filling, electric start, digital instrument cluster and front disc. The scooter will house a 125cc air cooled 4-stroke engine that will be coupled with the CVT transmission and we also expect the engine to receive the DTSi badging.
Looking at the expected specs, the Blade 125 looks quite promising. As Bajaj is quite famous for keeping prices under strict regulation, it is expected that this will be tagged with an affordable price tag. Bajaj will be competing with the 125cc scooters like Mahindra Duo, Suzuki Access and Piaggio Vespa LX125.
