Many movies get released on the 70mm marquee every year, but some gets hit while many get misses. Though the hit ones attribute credits to their main leads, but we also see for ‘Auto Leads’ along with the main one. Automobiles add a cult to main characters while some are based on them itself. Here is the list of Top 5 Auto lead which Hollywood had witnessed in the year 2012.
Men in Black 3
MIB 3, directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, is a successful movie of 2012. The third series of Men In Black was released after a gap of 15 years from the first one. Apart from the storyline, the stunts performed in the movie by Will Smith and Josh Brolin was breathtaking. Taking those stunts a few notches higher, the director had used a monocycle created by Kerry McLean called the Rocket Roadster. It is powered by a Buick-V8 engine and can make you taste a maximum speed of 100mph on its mono wheel. Riding at such a high speed on a singular one is an extremely tough job, but we wonder how Agent J (Will Smith) and Agent K (Josh Brolin) managed to do it on the streets of New York while pursuing an alien Boris (Jemaine Clement).
The Dark Knight Rises
Batman is one of the popular comic characters who surfaced into reality. Creating a working model of an imagination is not everybody’s cup of tea, and this tough task has been performed by the director of Batman. He made a Honda 450R’s water cooled engine to work for the Catwoman’s Batpod motorcycle. Batpod sports 20’’ wheel with all suspensions at front only (it is a hardtail). It is 3 ½ feet wide and has to be driven with shoulders instead of hands. This is not designed to ride in actual world but is good inimagination only.
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance
There are two main leads performing in the sequel of Ghost Rider. One is Nicholas Cage, and the second one is none other than Yamaha’s 200 bhp V-Max. This Yamaha creation was customized by Blaze to look charred and burnt to suit the theme of hell-based rider. It featured very hot and burning appeal to the movie as it was always seen ruptured by lavishing flames.
James Bond had always left us dreaming about his vehicles for days and he should be. His vehicles are smart, powerful and out of reach for the commons. This time in Skyfall, James Bond (Daniel Craig) had sported a Honda CRF 250R. He rode this dirt bike in Turkey, jumping over the roof tops for a chase sequence. These frames are being placed at the very ‘first scene’ of movie. The beginnings of 007 are always a spectacular one, as it comes after a lot of editing and other backstage underpinnings.
Through comics, Captain America has treaded an image of riding on an iron horse but Harley Davidson has made those imaginations come true. It has provided Chris Evans (Captain America) a Harley Davidson Softail Slim 2012 in Avengers. The Captain’s iron horse is powered by a 1690 cc air cooled, twin cam 103B counter balanced engine which achieves a peak torque of 98.7 ft. lbs at 3000 RPM.
