Recent news is that Bajaj has tied up with KTM. KTM is familiar name within the bike enthusiast circles. But for novices and new entrant’s information- they are one of the largest producers of sports bike across the world. Bajaj eyeing a thriving market for sports bikes in India has collaborated with KTM to bring out a series of bikes. The biking giants- the KTM manufacturers are keen on bringing out at least one bike per year for the next three years. This year they have brought out the KTM Duke 200 in partnership with Bajaj in the Indian market. It’s finally here! This was the day the bike lovers of India were eagerly waiting for in the past two years. Today Bajaj lifted the curtains off its next-gen Pulsar, which it now calls the Pulsar 200NS. The new Pulsar is a 200cc (199.5cc to be exact) bike. The engine of the Pulsar 200NS is a liquid-cooled 199.5cc four-valve carbureted with a new triple spark plug system. This engine is capable of giving out a peak output of 23.18bhp @9,500rpm, and a peak torque of 1.86kgm @8000rpm. The chassis is made up of a pressed steel frame with a rectangular swingarm. Bajaj Auto brought out their cheapest 150cc bike, an upgrade from its 100cc Boxer bike. But Bajaj Auto’s Boxer 100cc is suffering the same fate that tarnished the Tata Nano image. The Auto Expo has become a bigger success than it was initially expected. The hosts were pleasantly pleased with the throngs of people who came to pay a visit at this gala one of its kind event. It was a spectacle which had elegance and class, this ‘not so often seen’ event in India got the respect it deserved.
