Honda, the auto major from Japan, is working on bringing out bikes with greater fuel efficiency to the Indian market. This exercise is aimed at strengthening their presence in the country, following their parting ways with the Hero Group. Honda is expanding their R & D center in the country, and is working on a 125cc scooter that would be introduced in India, first-time ever. Bajaj Auto, the two-wheeler giants from India, is planning an investment to the tune of Rs.500 crore in enhancing their production capabilities in the Indian market. As per reports, this investment is aimed at advancing the design of the Company’s famed bike, the Bajaj Pulsar. In a statement made by the President of Finance, Bajaj Auto, Kevin D’sa, the company has plans of investing this amount financial year-end 2013, in lines with its plans for expansion.
