Bajaj still finds the 100cc market green and has launched a new Discover 100cc. The entry level commuter segment is not as profitable as the 150cc and above segment, but it surly generates large volume sales for companies. Bajaj has launched a new 2011 Bajaj Discover 100, a variant of the largest selling model for Bajaj, the Discover.
Company decided to bring in the new model when Bajaj completed sales of more than 40 lakh Discover models that have three variants Discover 100, 135 and the Discover 150.
The new Bajaj Discover 100 receives major updates in visual. The new Discover 100 will now carry new multi coloured vinyl and new colours of Gold Green and Red Magenta. This decal will be with dual tone colours that would change its colour when looked from different angles. For the new 100cc variant the model is said to run 80 kmpl.
This can be seen as a first step of the Bajaj towards concentrating only on two brands, Pulsar and Discover. Earlier Bajaj has reported that they will take forward only two brands Pulsar and Discover and drop every other brand.
