One of India’s largest bike manufacturers, Bajaj Auto are looking to achieve the magical figures of 10 million units within the next 3 years. This year, Bajaj Auto plans to sell atleast 4.5 million bikes and autos.
Bajaj’s MD, Rajiv Bajaj said that as of now, Bajaj as a brand has got some very strong products for which the future demand would only multiply. The company’s current sales are generated by their two strong products and those are Pulsar and Discover. In 2010, the sales of Bajaj Motorcycles was approximately 2.8 million and the meteoric rise to double those units mean that Bajaj products click well with the masses. This coming year would see Bajaj as a company launching products from their Austrian partner, KTM. It is noteworthy to mention that Bajaj have about 40 percent stakes in KTM and hence have the right to market their products in India.
